Yes - In most cases Secondary Windows meet the requirements of the buildings and conservation regulations associated with both grade II & I listed buildings. However subject to your property listing status we would recommend liaising with your local conservation officer.
We would normally expect orders to be available within 2-3 weeks from approval. This would include installation (if required) and is subject to the location and specification of the order.
Obviously this is dictated by the specification and complexity of the order, however based on a relatively standard sized window e.g. 1000mm x 1200mm this should not take more than 45mins. Based on an average sized order of 8 windows we would expect an installation completion within 6 hours. We can provide a full installation service or it would not be a difficult job for any DIY enthusiast the windows are pre-assembled and pre drilled for ease of installation.
Other than drilling several small fixing holes into the existing timber our surround the primary window remains untouched and fully intact.
Yes – In most cases we can form the window to fit most existing profiles, even complete circular designs, alternatively we can design a solution to suite.
The window surrounds are generally produced in white as standard, but are also available in silver or brown at no additional cost. We can also accommodate any R.A.L. colour upon request to suit individual requirements (R.A.L. colour is a standard industrial colour chart) this does carry an additional cost of £300 set-up and £18.00 per window.
No – in most cases, unless the room is already undergoing decoration, the instillation does not require the room or area to be cleared or covered, other than allowing access to the window area. The room will be left in a condition prior to the work.
